Working days: 6 days a week 

Salary: ₹15k-20k per month (negotiable) + ₹10k-₹15k per month in incentives

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on all experiences offered by Vagabond
• Act as a travel consultant to consumers
• Handle incoming queries across different channels like email, phone, WhatsApp & social media
• Handle end-to-end responsibility of customer onboarding experience
• Work in coordination with the Operations team
• Play a critical part in achieving organisation’s revenue goals

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Hindi. Confidence to converse as if it’s your primary language.
• Comfort in communicating with people
• The ability to close a sale with confidence
• An openness to work in a hybrid work role which could see you take up responsibilities other than the ones mentioned above
• Availability for at least 12 months

This is a full-time role, you will be working 6 days a week, from 11am to 7pm.

Position title: Intern

Age: 18+ years old

Location: Marol, Andheri East (Mumbai)

Working hours: 11am-7pm | Mon-Sat

Duration: Minimum 2 months. Can be extended mutually based on performance and availability.

Job Description

You will be working on the back end of all upcoming Vagabond Experiences. This work will include but will not be limited to the following.

1. Act as a travel consultant to consumers
2. Handle incoming queries across different channels like email, phone, WhatsApp & social media
3. Handle end-to-end responsibility of customer onboarding experience
4. Understanding and updating sales records on a daily basis
5. Short-form copywriting for social media 
6. Working on the back-end administrative work of all our experiences 

Job Requirements

1. You must be able to fluently speak in Hindi and English.
2. A good grasp on English grammar and vocabulary is a must.  
3. This opening is for Mumbai-based applicants only.
4. You are required to come into our office at Marol, Andheri East
5. While not an absolute requirement, any relevant experience (college festivals, college organisations, Rotary clubs or any other extra curriculars) in sales, copywriting, data entry or event management would be an advantage.

Non-Negotiable Criteria: Have travelled/trekked with Vagabond at least once before

What you need to know:

• This is a part time gig (mostly just weekends)
• It’s paid (duh)
• You have to be Bombay based
• You have to be GREAT with strangers (duh)
• You had to have travelled/trekked with us in the past (non-negotiable) and if you haven’t, you can join us on a coming weekend and then apply (hack)

Job Description

• You will be required to accompany and host customers on different experiences
• You will be in charge of making sure the experience is carried out as per the given Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 
• As an EM, it is important to understand that Vagabond Experiences is about creating valuable group experiences that reinforce a sense of community. This requires an EM to go out of their way to ensure that every person feels comfortable, safe and happy. 
• You will be in charge of coordinating with local vendors, guiding tours, and facilitating group activities, while also communicating with the group — managing their expectations and ensuring they are aware of the day-to-day plans, activities and any relevant information.
• You will be organising a number of activities such as group games, bonding sessions, hikes, adventure sports, and a variety of other things, so you must be reasonably prepared, physically and mentally.

• You have to keep a clear record of all expenses, receipts and accounts while on an experience.
• You will be in charge of coordinating with customers before and during experiences
• Getting in feedback from the customers

Job Requirements

• You must enjoy meeting people, be outgoing, energetic and responsible. This job requires a huge amount of social energy.
• You must be able to lead a group of up to 20-25 people confidently.

• You must be timely and accurate with administrative responsibilities.
• It is important to be approachable and personable with an enthusiastic attitude and be able to relate to people from different walks of life, ages, and mindsets.

• You are not on holiday, the customers are. At all times, you have to put the group’s experience above yours. 
• Your job is to give every single person careful attention. You can’t be caught playing favourites among the group.
• People are unpredictable. You may have customers who are culturally insensitive, complain a lot or just take a dislike to you. You still have to stay professional and do your best to make sure they have a good time. 
• Even though the team in Bombay will always be there to support you, there are times when you will be out of network area and will have to make decisions alone.
• You may have to do the same itinerary over and over again, which can become repetitive. 
• This job requires you to spend large amounts of time, sharing stays and vehicles with strangers. If you are not a people person, this job may not be well suited for you.
