Ever looked up at the night sky from your terrace and thought, "Is that tiny dot a star? A plane? Or just a really slow helicopter?" Or maybe you’ve downloaded one too many stargazing apps and still have no idea what you are looking at? Either way, this one’s for you!
Welcome to our Stargazing Camp in Karjat, where we'll spend an entire night doing something supremely underrated: looking up. This overnight camping experience is set on a quiet meadow, with tents overlooking nearby villages and a scenic dam that really shows off at dusk.
We'll arrive as the sky begins to change colour, settle into camp, and ease into the evening as daylight slowly bows out. Once it’s properly dark, our starboy (a professional stargazer) takes over; pointing out planets, constellations, and celestial sights you’ve definitely seen before but can never name!
And because we believe in 'photos or it didn't happen', there’s also a crash course in astrophotography! Don't worry, there's no complicated jargon or technical prowess needed, just practical tips to help you capture the blanket of stars you'll see envelop you.
Later, we'll gather around a campfire for good old games, cosmic myths, and the kind of conversations that only happen when the universe is quietly listening in.
Finally, the night ends with a slow sunrise, soft light, and the joy of seeing more stars than you would in Bandra at a Sunday brunch.
