1. I have never sung before, and I’m not good at singing. Can I still join?
Yes, absolutely—you’re welcome to join! This choir is a perfect place to begin. You don’t need any prior knowledge or singing experience. We’d love to introduce you to the joy and concept of choir singing. We aim to bring together voices of all kinds and create a space where you can express yourself through music, smiles, and laughter.
2. Is this like a class where we will learn singing?
Nope, this isn’t a singing class! The Pop-Up Choir isn’t about formal training—it’s all about introducing you to the joy of singing together. Think of it as community singing where everyone’s voice blends to create something really beautiful.
We do keep things structured, though! We’ll kick off with some fun vocal warm-ups, pick up a few simple choir concepts, practice together, and then put it all into action by learning and singing a song as a group. It’s relaxed, lively, and a whole lot of fun!
3. I have attended a session before and want to join again. Will it be repetitive?
Not at all—come on back, we’d love to have you again!
Yes, the basic flow stays the same, but each session has its own energy. We switch up the warm-ups, try out new exercises, and the best part—there’s a brand-new song every single time! So each session feels fresh, fun, and totally worth a repeat. You’ll always walk away learning something new and singing something different!
4. Can I get my kid along?
The workshop is open to anyone 12 years and above.
5. I cannot be there for the full 4 hours. Can I come for just 2 hours?
You’re more than welcome to join, but the session is designed step by step. If you miss the beginning, you’ll miss the warm-ups and the training that build up to the final song. And if you leave early, you’ll miss the best part—singing the full song together as a group!
